Doraemon is a HUGE hit in japan which originated as a manga and then had its own television show which ended and was later brought back. Doraemon has never seen the light of day in America, however that will change when the new feature length film “Doraemon: Nobita and the Green Giant” is slated to hit the US in December 2008. To go along with the films release in Japan they are releasing this awesome platforming game to go along with it. Chances are if the film is eventually coming to America the game will probably be released here too, but you never know. After watching the video trailer provided I’m sure you would want to just pre-order and get the game anyway. The animation is excellent and the colors are vibrant, one of the best looking DS games yet.Read on to see the excellent video.

Do you think the barrier to entry will be very high trying to figure out all of the tools in the game? In the past I have imported both the JUMP and Bleach DS Fighting games along with Ouendan, but outside of that I am little iffy with my lack of japanese reading. Staffi does look cool though, and this Doremon game has some amazing art and fun looking environments.
IMO based on the videos it could be alittle tough, however its gameplay seems fairly straightforward and I am sure there will be a translation guide or help somewhere on a site such as gamefaqs.
